Trail Band Coming to Vancouver for Fundraiser

Tickets are available online and throughout Clark County for the first Vancouver concert in a decade by The Trail Band, a high-energy, eight-person group popular across the Northwest. The multi-talented instrumentalists — most of whom also are  vocalists — will appear in concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11,at Vancouver’s Skyview High School, 1300 N.E. 139th St., in a fundraiser for the Salmon Creek Kiwanis. Advance-sale tickets are $18 each or two for $35. Tickets at the door will be $20 each.

The Trail BandThe Trail Band plays an energetic and fun blend of traditional and original numbers. Its vocalists include “Quarterflash’s” Rindy Ross. The eight  musicians are masters of  a fascinating array of instruments, including cornet, tenor horn, tuba, fiddles, hammer dulcimer, guitars, penny whistle, mandolin, piano, saxophone, spoons, bones, drums, bass, and recorders.

Tickets are on sale at all branches of Columbia Credit Union; Music World/Battle Ground, 502 E. Main St. in Battle Ground; Music World/Hazel Dell, across from JM Plaza; Beacock Music, 1420 S.E. 163rd Ave., and River City Music, 13215 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd. Tickets also are available online at www.ticketsoregon.com, with a service charge.

Among the beneficiaries of past Salmon Creek Kiwanis fundraisers volunteer projects are The Clark County Food Warehouse, the Salvation Army, the Clark County YWCA, Art Curtis Children’s Justice Center, Adult Drug Court, Bridge the Gap, Vancouver Schools Foundation, Battle Ground Schools Foundation, Loaves & Fishes, NW Children’s Outreach, summer playground meals, Winter Homeless Overflow Shelter, Vida’s Ark and Skyview High School Key Club scholarships.
